Hiroki Tanaka’s solo debut
album is called Kaigo Kioku Kyoku.
“Kaigo Kioku Kyoku” which translates into “Caregiving Memory Songs” is
built from Tanaka’s experience as a caregiver for his grandmother with Alzheimer’s and uncle with terminal cancer,
All the music on the album is made out of meaningful objects, voice recordings of his relatives, and are structured off of hymns and Japanese folk songs.
